Wellbeing also takes different forms across our offices, from ABGi in Motion sports activities in Brazil to occupational health and safety initiatives in Germany. Flexible and hybrid working, Employee Assistance Programmes and other local benefits also support work-life balance.
We also encourage employees to share ideas, feedback and suggestions. Engagement surveys, company-wide meetings and employee committees provide opportunities to contribute to the evolution of our workplace. In the UK, for example, the Steering Wheel committee give employees dedicated channels to share their views. In Brazil and in the UK, ABGi has also been recognised as one of the best companies to work for, through its Great Place to Work certification, reflecting our focus on employee experience and wellbeing.
Finally, team lunches, office visits, social events, sports activities and informal initiatives help strengthen connections across teams, offices and countries.
Our teams contribute to initiatives that support local communities, create opportunities for younger generations and promote causes that matter to society.
We also support local communities through charitable initiatives and solidarity actions. These can include donations, collections, fundraising activities and volunteering. In France, for example, employees have taken part in collections of hygiene products for women in vulnerable situations, organised in partnership with local associations. Other initiatives give employees the opportunity to support charities or community organisations through donations and volunteering, according to local needs and priorities.
Across our countries, sport, volunteering, charitable initiatives and local events provide opportunities for employees to contribute, connect and support the communities around them.
Our teams also take part in awareness initiatives on broader societal issues. In Brazil, for example, local campaigns address topics such as diversity, LGBTQIAPN+ inclusion, mental health and different health-related causes. These initiatives create opportunities to share information, encourage discussion and raise awareness both within the company and in the communities in which our teams operate.
ABGi aims to use its resources, expertise and employee engagement to make a tangible contribution to the communities around us. The initiatives may differ from one country to another, but they share a common objective: creating positive connections and contributing to a more inclusive and supportive society.
Our offices are taking practical steps to reduce their environmental footprint, with a focus on mobility, energy, waste, digitalisation and employee awareness.
Several countries are encouraging more sustainable mobility. In Germany, teams favour train travel and carsharing, while flights are not used for business travel. In Canada, employees travelling between Toronto and Montreal use the train instead of flying. In the UK, an Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme supports lower-emission mobility.
Our offices are also working to reduce waste and paper consumption. Brazil has initiatives focused on energy reduction, recycling and waste management, while teams in the USA increasingly use digital-first and paperless processes. Germany also operates a paperless office and has a solar power plant in Lahr.
To join ABGi is to become part of a company that places social, societal and environmental responsibility at the heart of its operations.
ABGi is committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and takes concrete action to build a sustainable future, taking into account its social, societal and environmental impacts. Through its Impact program, ABGi implements concrete and measurable initiatives, driven on a daily basis by its employees. This approach is based on three complementary pillars: social, societal and environmental.
Our commitments
Promote social responsibility
Creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging workplace
Our people are at the heart of our social commitments. We strive to create a workplace where everyone feels respected, included, supported and able to contribute.
Our people are at the heart of our Impact approach. We promote inclusion, wellbeing, employee voice and connection across our teams.
Our local initiatives include awareness campaigns on diversity, disability and health. In Brazil, for example, teams take part in Pride Day, Black Consciousness Day, Hidden Disabilities Awareness, Yellow September, Pink October and Blue November. In France, we participate in the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities (SEEPH) and DuoDay.
